The Green Party of Virginia needs YOU to run for office. GPVA needs
candidates to run for the following seats:

1. U.S. House of Representatives: All seats except for Congressional
District 11. 

2. City Council: 

At-Large seats in the following cities:

Colonial Heights, Harrisonburg, Lexington, Manassas, Manassas Park,
Martinsville, Norton, Portsmouth, and Virginia Beach.

District seats in the following cities:

Covington: Districts 1 and 2
Emporia: Districts 1, 4, and 5
Hopewell: Wards 1, 2, 3, and 7
Petersburg: Wards 1, 3, 5, and 7
Poquoson: All districts
Suffolk: Chuckatuck, Cypress, Holy Neck, and Suffolk Boroughs
Virginia Beach: Bayside, Beach, Lynnhaven, and Princess Anne Districts
Winchester: All districts

3. City School Board: 

At -Large seats in the following cities:

Colonial Heights, Harrisonburg, Manassas, Norton, Portsmouth, and Virginia
Beach.

District seats in the following cities:

Petersburg: Wards 1, 3, 5, and 7
Suffolk: Chuckatuck, Cypress, Holy Neck, and Suffolk Boroughs
Virginia Beach: Bayside, Beach, Lynnhaven, and Princess Anne Districts

 

4.  Town Council:

 

Melfa, Painter, Clifton Forge, Iron Gate, Amherst, Craigsville, Bedford,
Fincastle, Troutville, Alberta, Altavista, Brookmeal, Bowling Green, Port
Royal, Charlotte Court House, Drakes Branch, Keysville, Phenix, McKenney,
Columbia, Middletown, Stephens City, Glen Lyn, Narrows, Stanardsville,
Halifax, Virgilina, Windsor, West Point, Hillsboro, Leesburg, Urbanna,
Burkeville, Gordonsville, Stanley, Stuart, Chatham, Gretna, Hurt, Glasgow,
Goshen, Bridgewater, Dayton, Elkton, Grottoes, Mt. Crawford, Cleveland,
Timberville, Honaker, Bluefield, Cedar Bluff, Pocahontas, Richlands,
Tazewell, Front Royal, Glade Spring, and Colonial Beach.

5.  Town Mayors:

 

All of the above towns except for Clifton Forge, Craigsville, Bedford,
Altavista, Phenix, Columbia, Middletown, Gordonsville, Stanley, Stuart,
Bluefield, and Colonial Beach.

Petitions and other paperwork need to be submitted by June 10. If you are
interested in the Green Party of Virginia's nomination, please get in touch
with the Green local in your area and get their support, and then come to
GPVA's next business meeting in Appomattox on May 3.
